Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Aem Thida

Aem Thida is 13 years old, and she studies in 7th grade at Chey Yo Secondary School in O`paek village, Chey Yo Commune, Chamkaleu District, KampongCham Province

Aem Thida is the second child in the family, with 2 younger sisters and one younger brother. Her father name is Ey Rotha, 35 years old and her mother is Muol Sopheap, 34 years old.

She lives with grandmother in TroPang Roe Sey village, Chey Yo commune, Chamkaleu district, Kampong Cham province because her parents went to work in Thailand .Her parents don’t have farmland to pant rice or plant other crops. Her grandmother is old and she don’t have a job to do and her parents are working in Thailand three month or four mother sent money to her to support her studying and paid anything to solved daily of living maybe 200000R or 300000R or her parents sent to her less than 250$ in one year.

As for Aem Thida, she is study very hard and she is a good student in the class. After school, she helps her grandmother to cook rice. In her free time, she likes to read the books and review the lessons from school.

For Aem thida’s future goal: Aem Thida wants to be a Good Teacher when she grows up. She wants to help all the kids in her village and also she wants to earn money to support her family too.
