Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Chheam Hin

Chheam Hin is a 16-years-old student in 8th grade at The Naohriro Nishiya School in Tbaung Teuk village, Meanrith commune, Sondann district, Kompong Thom province.

Hin has seven siblings, six sisters and one brother, and she is sixth child in family. Her parents work as cassava harvester. Their income from this job is not regular because it is according to market price and cassava harvest seasons. Plus, their workplace is not fixed because they have to move from one farm to another farm where labor force is needed. Hin has to respond to do housework because her parents and her older sibling are busy to work outside whole day.
