Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Touch Mo

Touch Mo is a 11-year-old student in 3rd grade at The Ascham School community, in Putang village, Romnea commune, Senmonorom district, Mondulkiri province.

Touch Mo has three sisters. She is the first child in the family.  Nowadays, her parents work at the field where growing bananas and some vegetables (Annual income is $500). Besides working at the cassavas field, her parents are found forest vegatales which earns 20.000 riel or $5 a day. Her father is also working at the rice field. However, the income isn’t regular and it isn’t enough to support the family. Touch Mo helps her mother to do house work when her mother was away.
