Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Heab Rina

Heab Rina is 13 years old, she is in grade 5 at the Masako Sato school in Putreng village Dak Dam commune, Orang district, Mondulkiri province.

There are five members in her family, her parents and three sisters including her. They have own farmland, it’s about a hectare to growing rice. This farmland can produce 900kg to 1000kg of rice per year but this year it can produce only 700kg to 800kg only because the weather is hot and it doesn’t have enough water so the rice doesn’t grow much and also they have to return half of the rice to the farmland owner because this farmland they just rent from other not theirs own land.
