Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Chhorn Chanthy

Chhorn Chanthy is an 11years old student in 4th grades at The Lefkowitz Family School in Tram She Village, Beung Bat Kandol commune, Bakan District, and Pursat Province.

Chorn Chanthy has one sister. Her parents have work as construction worker in the village. Moreover, they have not gotten own land for cropping rice. Chanthy’s parents are living with her aunt and uncle. They are famers. Chorn Chanthy’s aunts have gotten one hectares and half own farmland for planting rice. In a year, they were harvested rice; they may got 1000 Kg and keep 500kg for eating. Chorn Chanthy’s parents are not earned much money to support their family. Chorn Chanthy always helps her mother to do house work.
