Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Koem Sreinou

Sreinou is 15 years old and she is a student in grade 9 at The Green Family School in Takeo province, Kirivung district, Angbrasat commune, Angbrasat village.

There are seven members in her family. She has got two parents, three brothers and two sisters includable her. She is third child in her family. Her family is poor and her parents are farmers; they have one hectare, which can produce between 2,000-3,000 kg of rice a year and they had sold for 500kg, 125$ for buying the every food and they are keeping some rice for daily eating in a whole year. However this is only the ideal output because they need to barter for fertilizer and other expenditures during the farming process, but the family still lives in poverty. Her parents have not enough money to support school supplies her. She always walks to school and comes back. Therefore, Sreinou needs to do housework and takes care the younger brother and sister every day after school.

Sreinou wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She loves a job so much. Furthermore, she wants to teach all the students in the rural villages to have higher knowledge to become center-row of the nation and also progress the nation towards perfect human resource. Moreover, She wants to support her family to live in a better life.
