Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Mench Navuth

Mench Navuth is 9 year olds student in grade 4th at Vasaskolan School in Angbaksey village CheangToung commune, Tram Kak district Takeo province.

She has 6 members in her family. She has 4 siblings with 3 sisters and one brother; and she is the third child in the family in Angbaksey village, CheangToung, commune, Tram Kak district Takeo province. Her mother, KounNgy 41 years old, is a farmer and her father, Ek Bot 36 years old, is a farmer. They own 50A of farmland for growing rice, which produces 1 tons of rice per season. They earn around $ 25.00 to $37.50 per month. They sometimes cannot afford three meals per day. She helps her parents’ works such as; cooking, washing the dishes and taking care younger sibling. Those works has forced her be absent from school frequently.
