Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Thlong Chhing

Thlong Chhing  is 17 years old student in 9th grade at The IROHA School which is located in O Svay village, O Svay commune, Thalaborivath district, and Stung Treng province.

Chhing  was born in a poor family and she has gotten six siblings including her. She is the sixth born in the family. They have owned one hectare of farmland which produced 300 kilograms of rice’s output per year in pursuant to their small land. Chhing confirmed that the amount of these 300kgs of rice output has not because it is not enough for feeding her family for a whole year. Accordingly, her parents must find diverse ways to get more profits from any employed jobs or served jobs to support her family and her school supplies.

For her future goal, she wishes to bea specialized teacher of Khmer literature and English language because she prefers to teach these subjects to the next generation.
