Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Samath Sai

Samath Sai is a 16-years-old student in 8th grade at The Kimino Yume Mezaseba Kanau School in Romduol village,Varin commune, Varin District, Siem Reap province.

Sai has four siblings, three sisters and one brother, and she is the eldest child in family. Her parents are farmers who own about one hectare of farmland. The profit from farming is very small amount to feed all members of this big family, so her parents works as seasonal workers during rice harvest seasons to earn more money for expense in family and supporting their children’s study. Sai responds to do housework and to take care of her younger siblings because their parents are very busy to work outside whole day.
