Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Phet Sreyneath

Phet Sreyneath is a 12-years-old student in 4th grade at The Takatsu Espoir School of Ta Khong village, Trien commune, Kampong Siem district, Kompong Cham porovince.

Sreyneath has six siblings, four sisters and two brothers, and she is third child in family. Her parents are farmers and income from farming is not enough for family, so sometimes they work as seasonal worker. Their average income is $2.5 per week. While all adults are busy to work outside, Sreyneath has to respond to do housework and to take care of her younger siblings.
