Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Tang Srenich

Tang Sreynich is an 11 years old student in grade 6th at Vasaskolan School in Angbaksey village, CheangTorng commune, Tramkak district Takeo province.

Sreynich has five siblings:  three brothers and two sisters. She is the youngest child in the family. They are both farmers. They have about a half of a hectare of farmland, on which to produce 800 kg of rice per year. Besides working on their own farm, her parents are a day laborer in the village and earn money by harvesting rice, clearing up grass and doing other odd jobs for neighbors.
