Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Lorn Manit

Manit is a 10-year old student in 5th grade at The Wakako Hironaka School, Rovieng District, Preah Vihear Province.

Manit has one younger sister who is in grade two at the same school. Her parent does not have any plot of land for farming, her mother and farther work as a day labor. But it is not a regular job and they earn very little income to support the family and not enough to have better living conditions. The family sometimes does not have enough food to eat, and living in such a poor condition, Manit has a lot to face in her study.

Manit is now able to enjoy her schooling and friends with the support from the GBA program.
