Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Boeurn Nha

Boeurn Nha is a 14-years-old student in 7th grade at The Kimino Yume Mezaseba Kanau School in Romduol village,Varin commune, Varin District, Siem Reap province.

Nha has four siblings, two sisters and two brothers, and she is second child in family. Her parents are farmers who own about one hectare of farmland. They can earn about $12.5-25 per month from farming. As a daughter, Nha has to help her mother to do housework and to work in rice field during harvest seasons with her parents. Those works have forced to decide to not attend class constantly.
