Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Sek Dav

Sek Dav is a 15-years-old student in 8th grade at The Kimino Yume Mezaseba Kanau School in Romduol village,Varin commune, Varin District, Siem Reap province.

Dav has five siblings, two sisters and three brothers, and she is second child in family. Her parents are farmers and they own two hectare of farmland. Their income from farming is about$ 20-25 per month. As a daughter, Dav has to help her mother to do housework every day. In addition, Dav is old enough to help in rice field, so she has to help her parents during harvest seasons.
