Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Vin Vorn

Vin Vorn is an 11-year-old student in 4th grade at The Shintoshin Rotary and Speros (Hawaii) School in Pal Hal Village, Rik Reay Commune, Rovieng District, Preah Vihear Province.

She has one sister and one brother. She comes second in the family. Vin Vorn always helps with house work and looks after her brother. Her parents are farmers, but the harvest is not enough for the family. So they have to make extra money by harvesting rice or clearing the land off grass for the neighbor. Even so, they earn so little that the family’s living standard is poor.
