To Be Selected

Eam Chenda is a 21 years old student in 11th grade at The ASIJ School which is located in Chup Krom village, Svay Leu commune, Svay Leu district, and Siem Reap province.

Chenda has gotten six siblings in her poor family. She has gotten three sisters, one brother, one younger sister and she is the fifth born in the family. Her parents are farmers. Her family have one hectare of farmland for transplanting rice and for raising chicken and cows.

Chenda clarified to the rice transplantation that, sometimes her parents have gathered for two tons of rice’s output per year but the rice’s output couldn’t afford the family for a whole year because her parents have had to sell some rice to pay back to shop owner for the fertilizers.

Otherwise, her parents got little income from selling rice but it still was inadequate to afford the needs such as clothes, uniforms and school supplies etc. She sometimes had to quit from her schooling because she was advised to help maintain the animals at the field.
