Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Neourn Srey Pich

Neourn Srey Pich is an 11-years-old student in 4th grade at The Kirivorn School in Kirivorn village, Steng Chhay commune, Kompong Seila district, Koh Kong province.

Srey Pich has two siblings with a brother and a sister. She is the oldest in family. Her father is a logger. He always goes to the forest to cut the small trees to make handle knives, hoes, spades, and many other tools. He earns about $3 per day. Her mother is a factory worker. She gets about $130 per month. They do not have enough money to support their family. So, her family faces the difficult situation to support her study.
