Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Hoem Sreymoa

Hoem Sreymoa is a 12-year-old student in 8th grade at the CREDO School in Ang Karnh Village, Metoek Commune, Bakan District, Pursat Province.  She lives in Metoek village, Metoek Commune, Bakan District, Pursat Province.

Sreymoa is the third child in the family. She has three siblings. Her parents do farming; they have a hectare of land. They farm on their land so hard and they can collect harvests only half or one ton per year. Besides farming, they also raise some animals and grow vegetables to make double income to help their family. Her parents earn around USD25-USD30 per month. This income is not enough for family. After school, she always helps her parents doing house work and helping at the rice fields.
