Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Kak Sina

Kak Sina is a 9-year-old student in 3rd grade at The Cambodia Hope School in Melum village, Melum commune, Boribo district, Kompong Chhnang province.

Sina has two siblings, and she is the eldest child in family. Her parents don’t have own any farmland. Her mother sells sugar cane juice. Her father has problem with his eyes, He cannot see clearly. Thus, he cannot do hard works. Sometimes he guards buffaloes for neighbors to get some money. Sina aslo has problem with her eyes like her father, fortunately, there is an organization help her by providing glasses and medications. Their relatives pity Sina’s family, so they give Sina’s family some rice every year. Sina has to help her mother to do housework, to take care of her younger siblings and her father.
