Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Chranh Dob

Chranh Dob is an 9-year-old student in 2nd grade at The Ascham School community, in Putang village, Romnea commune, Senmonorom district, Mondulkiri province.

Chranh Dob has five sisters and four brothers. She is the seventh child in the family.  Nowadays, her parents work at the fields where growing cassavas, cashew, bananas (Annual income is $500) which earns 20.000 riel or $5 a day. However, the income isn’t regular and it isn’t enough to support the family. Chranh Dob helps her mother to do house work when her mother was away.
