Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Kheck Sreinith

Kheck Sreinith is a 10 -year-old student in 4th grade at The Shintoshin Rotary and Speros (Hawaii) School in Pal Hal Village, Rik Reay Commune, Rovieng District, Preah Vihear Province.

There are 4 members in her family. She has one sister and one brother. She is the first child in her family. The family lives on their grandmother’s land and does not own land for growing rice. However, the parents have been working on her neighbor’s land for several years but their yearly harvest cannot cover their needs throughout the year. So they have to buy additional rice. Sreinith’s family is extremely poor. But they do not want their children to be poor and uneducated.
