Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Suphimis a 14 years old student is Grade 7 at the Janie’s School in Snam Preah commune, Bakan district, Pursat province.

There are six members in her family. She has one brother and two sisters. She is the third child. Her father’s name is Joy and her mother’s name is Phy. Her mother is a housewife. And her father is motorbike taxi rider that can get income about $2.5 to $5 a day. Her family doesn’t have any farmland. Her father’s income is not enough to feed all family members. Her mother usually borrows money from the villagers and now she is in debts, and she can’t borrow them anymore.

Sreynith helps her mother in doing housework and growing some vegetables for meal.
