Rathana is12 years old and she is in grade 8 at The Doris Dillon School in Phnom Toch village, Sdach Kong Khang Tboung Commune, Banteay Meas District, Kampot province.
There are five members in her family and she is the first child in the family. The family owns haft hectare of farmland. Her mother name is Mrs. Tri Khum who is selling palm juice every day and her father’s name is Mr. Sinh Phea who is climbing the palm tree. One day they can earn 15000R. The money they earn per day is so little. So they need to try and work very hard for their life. Anyways, Rathana has one big dream is to finish university and wanted to be a journalist. Nowadays she tries to study very hard to complete her dream and she hopes that one day will have a sponsor to give her the scholarship to support her every month to continue to school until she finishes high school.
Rathana wants to become a journalist, she thinks that, become a journalist is good for her and the people will love her. Moreover, she wants to earn money to support her family to live a comfortable life.
