The Dixon Learning Center

(July, 2001)

Mrs. Sen Sokha is married with six children. One, her 13-year-old son, is in second grade at the Dixon Learning Center. She lives 100m away from the new school.

In Their Own Words. . .

On the new building: “It has improved the village because the kids like studying in it more than the old one. In this building, there are solid walls and doors, so things can be stored in the classrooms. In the old building, the roof leaked.”

On the computer teaching: “I had never heard of a computer before they brought one here. Now my son is learning about them.”

Message for the donor: “I think that having this new school really helps our kids to learn. It is clean and concrete. I would like to thank Mr. Hawley very much.”
