Peng Kosal is a 13-year-old grade 3 student at The Kazue and Hiroshi Sasaki School. He ranked number 5 out of his 35 classmates in the second semester of this school year. He has 7 siblings and he is the third son in the family. His house is about 1 Km from school. He walks to school everyday.

“My parents are farmers and at this time they are busy in the rice field they are harvesting rice, when I have free time I like to help them by bringing some food, water and cooking rice,” he said. “Sometime I take the cows out to eat the green grass near the village; my parents have 5 cows for plough rice.”
“In the school¹s curriculum, I like to study Mathematics. I always try help my classmates by explaining to them when they don¹t understand the lessons, that is why they like,” Peng Kosal said.

“I want to be a teacher when I grow up because in my village doesn¹t have any teachers yet and I want all the children in the village to be educated. I will teach all the children the same as my teacher does,” he said.
