Lang Heun is a 12-year-old fourth grade student at the Tasda Nippon Foundation School.
She was ranked second in her class of 35 students

On herself:

I have two brothers and three sisters. My father is the school director and my mother is a farmer. I drive to school on my own motorcycle. It takes more than ten minutes to get here from my house.

On the new building:

I am very happy to be able to study at the new school because here, when we have a break, we can go and play in the mountain. There’s much more space to play here than at the old school. Also, at the old school, the rain would always come into the classrooms when we were studying, which made it hard to concentrate.

On her summer vacation:

I’ll be selling coconuts at the market. I do it almost everyday after my studies. I also go to study at a private school, where I take classes in English and Khmer.

If she could make any wish:

I want a lot of money. I would use the money on my studies. I want to go to university and learn Information Technology.

If she could travel anywhere

I want to travel to Siem Reap to see Angkor Wat.
