Ouk Kim Tean is a thirteen-year-old, fourth grade student at the Anlong Kray Nippon Foundation School.
She was ranked third in her class of 43 students.

On herself:

I have four brothers and sisters, and two of them go to school with me. My father is a nurse, and my mother rears pigs at home. My parents work also as farmers. Our house is 3km away and it takes me half an hour by bike, one hour on foot, to get to the school.

On the new building:

I am very happy with the new school. It’s very spacious and comfortable. Unlike in the old school, we have enough desks and chairs here. The old wooden school was so old that it would have collapsed even with one push.

Favorite subject:

I like applied science the most. We can learn how to measure the purity of water or how to plant plants.

On her spare time:

In my spare time, I help my parents with their work. I cook rice, feed pigs, and take care of my siblings.

In the future:

I want to be a teacher and educate the next generation.

If she could do anything:

Stewardess. But I want to attend only the domestic flight.
