(August, 2001)

Ros Srey Mom is a 12-year-old fourth grade student at The Bor Yakhar Nippon Foundation School.  She was ranked fourth among the 26 students in her class.  Her father is a soldier and her mother is a housewife.  Her two younger sisters are studying at the school.

In Their Own Words. . .

On school subjects: “I like learning mathematics because I know more about mathematics and I don’t like learning applied science because I don’t understand it.

On her hobbies:  “When I have free time I like to help my mother at home and when I come to school to meet my friends we like to discuss our lessons.  I have never lived outside of my village or visited anywhere outside of this district.

On her future: “I want to be a teacher in the future because I want to share my knowledge with the next generations.  I thank The Nippon Foundation for providing this new school building to us.”
