Prak Sithan is a fourth grade student at the Kampot Nippon Foundation School.
Out of the thirty-six students of his class, he was ranked first.

On himself: I am seventeen years old. I have six siblings, and two of them are at this school. My parents are farmers and grow rice, gourds, eggplants, and chili.

On the new building: I am very happy with the new school building. It is good and nice. Good quality. There are enough desks for everyone. When I was studying at the old building, it was very hot because we had a tin roof. It got really hot when we were studying. There weren’t enough desks for all the students. And when we closed the windows, they wouldn’t shut properly.

Favorite subject: My favorite is Khmer. Reading is easy for me. I also like what we read in the lessons. Yesterday, I read about Cambodian handicrafts.

On his spare time: In my spare time I help my parents on the farm, planting seeds and taking care of the cows. At our house, I cut the grass to keep the place neat.

In the future:

If I could do anything, I would be a teacher, because it’s easy work. It’s easy to explain the lesson to the students.
