Chork Rasmey is a 14 year-old grade 6 student at The Lily School. She ranks the first among her 41 classmates in the first semester this year. She has three siblings; she is the first daughter in the family. Her house is about100 meters from school she walks to school everyday.

“My parents are farmers, we plant rice every year in the rainy season. When I have free time I go to help them in the rice field by planting rice, cutting grass for my cows to eat, I have 4 cows, we use cows for plowing,” she said.

“In the school curriculum, generally, I like all kind of subjects but I like mathematics most because it gives a correct calculation I am happy with that,” she said.

“I want to be a leader in this village so that I can help villager to live in a better live by building wells, hospitals, schools, Pagodas,” she added.
