“I have been teaching here for 24 years and I have been a school director since 1994. In this community there are no educated people.”

“I studied at the pedagogy school for three years before I became a teacher. This is how it happened: there was only person that knew the Khmer language, that was me, so I had to pick this job. I want to teach my people to know Khmer too.”

“I like teaching Khmer because I want our ethnic minority people to know the Khmer language well. But I have some difficult in teaching Khmer because I am an ethnic minority, not a Khmer native.”
