the Prey Pdao Nippon Foundation School.

Khem Nan is a 15-year old 6th grade student at the Prey Pdao Nippon Foundation School. He ranks number 2 in the first semester of this year among his 42 classmates. He has six siblings and is the fourth child in the family. His parents are farmers in the village and own two hectares of rice fields. He walks 10 minutes to school every day.

“At school I like to study math more than other subjects, but every subject in the school’s curriculum is easy for me. I never met with much difficulty on any subject at all.”

“I attend classes in the morning session and help my parents at home in the afternoon. After dinner, I read over a lesson in the book for about an hour before going to bed.”
