Kun Sophon is a first-grade student at the Thnal Bombek Nippon Foundation School. His sister is also in the first grade. From their house to school is a thirty-minute walk. He was ranked eleventh out of the fifty-five students in his class.
| On the new building: | I have a good feeling about the new school. I’m very happy to have a new building and many new friends.

| In the future: | I want to be a teacher, because I think I would love teaching.

| What he likes/dislikes: | I like to play Chek Choeung Muoy with my friends. It’s a game where you’re supposed to kick a sandal into a small square to win, but you have to do it while skipping. You can only use one leg. I don’t like fighting. |
| At home: | I help my parents boil rice, cut the grass around our house, and help start the fire. |
