In Their Own Words. . .

On the new building: “ I like the new building because it is nice and new. It is much nicer than the old one.”

On school subjects: “ I like to come to school because I want t gain knowledge so that I will never be tricked. I like hearing mathematics because it is the easies of all the subjects. I don’t like Khmer class because I can’t remember the lessons.”

On her hobbies: “ When I and not in school, I work at home, cleaning the house and cooking. When I meet my friends, I like to play and run with them.”

On her future: “ I would like to graduate from secondary school, if I can. My family is poor, so maybe I can only finish fifth grade. My mother wants me to study because she only finished second grade. I would like to be a teacher or to run my own business someday, so that I can earn money and be happy.”

If I could go anywhere……:  “ I would go to Australia because I have heard that it is a happy place.”
