The Yokkaichi School
Seng Malis is an 18-year-old, 12th grade student of The Yokkaichi School. She has 8 siblings, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Two of her brothers also study at The Yokkaichi School, her elder brother is in12th grade and her younger brother is in 10th grade. Her father is a former teacher, now he is retired, while her mother has passed away. Her house is about half kilometer from the school and she comes to school on foot.
“I am very happy to study here because it is near to my house; to have a school nearby is a big benefit to the students like me. Also, I like learning computer skills because it can help us to things like type and draw pictures. I am rank number 4th among 45 students in my class,” she said.
“My favorite subject is Math because I like it since I was young,” she added.
“I want to be a medical doctor because most of my relatives are teachers and I alone want to become a doctor,” she said about her future ambitions.
