Sovannpich is 12 years old, and she is in grade 8 at The Doris Dillon School inPhnom Toch village, Sdach Kong Khang Tboung Commune, Ben Teay Meas District, Kampot province.
Sovannpich is the first child in the family and she has two siblings. Her father’s name Mr. Phun Phean and her mother’ name Mrs. Bul Sinat. Her parents do not do farm but they are fixer of bicycle and seller in her village. Her parents’ job cannot support everyone in family. Phich’s father commonly has to work outside. Phich’s father has to bring the water from the lake to sell in the villages. One day they can earn $5. This additional income are not have enough money to support the family and their children’s everyday needs. She sometimes was absent from school to get other jobs such as harvesting work in the rice field to earn some money.
She dreams to finish high school then continue to university. She wants to be a teacher. She thinks that she could teach all the students in her area. She likes to help all poor people. Moreover, she wants to earn money to support her family.
