The Ta En Nippon

Foundation School

Mr. Huo Kim Hak is the director at the Ta En Nippon Foundation School.

On himself I am fifty-three years old. I have six children. My youngest son is attending the school. My wife is a farmer. I have been a teacher since 1981. In 1983 I became deputy director of this school. I have been director since 1987. I no longer teach myself.

On the new building:

I am very glad that we have the new school building. Before, there weren’t enough classrooms for students to study. Because we only had five classrooms, we had to teach three times a day. Normally, school starts at seven and ends at five, with a two hour-lunch break starting at eleven o’clock. The new schedule went from 7:00 to 10:30, 10:30 to 14:00, and 14:00 to 17:30. With the new school building, everything is back to normal. This new school looks like it will last for a long time.
