Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Sum Nita

Sum Nita is a 10 years old student in grade 4th at the Wahrenbrock Family School, #235, located in Chong Angkar village, Koh Andet district, Takeo province.


She has three brothers and she is youngest child and the only daughter the family of six members. Her parent is a farmer and their rice crops are not healthy in the last few years because of natural calamity and drought. Her mother seeks a job in the village to earn money to feed their children. She is hired by someone in the village and gets money to buy food and school supplies for the children therefore Nita is bearing the house work and cooking instead her mother.
