Build a School Builds a brand new school furnished with desks, chairs, blackboards and toilets. Depending on location and site conditions, the cost of building three-room schools ranges between $45,000 and $50,000 and the cost for five-room schools ranges between $75,000 and $80,000.

Build a brand new three-room school furnished with desks, chairs, blackboards.  Depending on location and site conditions, the cost of building three-room schools ranges between: $45,000 – $50,000
Build a brand new five-room school furnished with desks, chairs, blackboards, and toilets.  Depending on location and site conditions, the cost of building five-room schools ranges between: $75,000 – $80,000
Sponsor and name a school that was built with co-financed funding whose construction is completed: $15,000. (Please contact us soon if interested. We have a limited number of available completed schools built with co-financing.) $15,000
Adopt an existing rural school whose construction was sponsored by another donor and add any of the enhancements listed below. The only costs are enhancements the sponsor wishes to support. The sponsorship will be prominently acknowledged.

Computers and English Training Program

Water Well

A well provides water for drinking to the students, teachers, residents of the village and supplies water to the vegetable garden. Our wells are drilled by a certified professional well driller and guaranteed to supply water. The cost of drilling varies on the depth of the well and we will provide an estimate upon your request.

A licensed school nurse recruited from a local clinic promotes health education and gives students regular health check-ups. These features contribute to reduced student malnutrition, increased attentiveness and raised

Library

A stand-alone library filled with selected Khmer-language books that include fiction,

non-fiction and reference books. Libraries are equipped with bookshelves, large tables and chairs where students can enjoy reading in a quiet, comfortable environment during their free time. The English/computer teacher manages the library:

Water Filters

Many families of students cannot afford to buy school supplies for their children. A stationery set includes a notebooks, pencils, pens, eraser, ruler and pencil sharpener.

Sports equipment

Students love to play sports but they lack equipment. A sports equipment set that is shared by all the students in a school include two soccer balls, two volleyballs and a volleyball net.

Digital Camera

Digital photographs are a wonderful way to record the activities of a school. A digital camera donated to a school allows the English/computer teacher to take photos and e-mail them to the donor.

Selected age-appropriate fiction, non-fiction and reference books to supplement student learning. Students may borrow these books and read them during their free time and teachers can use them to aid their teaching. Suggested budget is $100 to $300.

Delivery cost for donated items

Currently there are no reliable commercial delivery services within Cambodia that can deliver items to our remote rural schools. If our staff needs to make a special trip to to deliver items, we may ask the donor to pay for the delivery cost.
