Chhean Rei is a 16-year-old second grade student at the Chhe Teal Chrum Nippon Foundation School.  She has one brother and one sister, both in second grade at the school.  Her mother and father are farmers.

In Their Own Words. . .

On school subjects:  “I like to study Khmer and mathematics because I want to learn how to calculate and about the history and culture of Cambodia.”

 

On her free time: “I like to read books.  I don’t play games with my friends because I don’t know any [games].”

 

On her future: “I would like to work in a garment factory so that I can send money home to my parents.”
