The O Tnaot Nippon

Foundation School

Pa Out is a 15-year-old fourth grade student at the O Tnaot Nippon Foundation School.
Out of the 46 students in his class, he was ranked first

On himself:

I have three sisters and six brothers. Four of my siblings are studying at school with me. My parents are both farmers. Our house is 1.5 km away from the school. I walk to school taking about 45 minutes.

On the new building:

I am very happy to be able to study at this new school. It’s easy to study here, because it’s not noisy. The old school was very noisy because there were no walls to separate one classroom from another.

Favorite subject:

I like studying math the most. It’s easy to multiply, add, and subtract.

On his spare time:

I collect water and cut firewood.

In the future:

I want to be a teacher because teachers have a salary, and as a teacher I’d be able to educate my family.

If he could travel anywhere:

I would travel to Siem Reap, because Siem Reap has many temples and a great history.

If he could have any wish:

I would wish for a water-pump for our rice field.
